6 NUEVAS CULTURAS

Era 1: bantúes (expansionista)

Los primeros pueblos hablantes de bantú comenzaron su migración por África central hace 6000 años y crearon muchos centros de población.

Este fenómeno, conocido como la expansión bantú, convirtió su familia de lenguas en la más hablada del continente.

Era 2: garamantes (agraria)

Entre los siglos XVII y XIV a. e. c., se dio una importante alteración ecológica en el entorno del Sáhara.

Los garamantes, auténticos agricultores del desierto, se adaptaron completamente a este nuevo entorno gracias a su dominio de las aguas subterráneas, lo que hizo prosperar su cultura entre los siglos IV y III a. e. c

Era 3: suajilis (comerciante)

Los asentamientos suajilis, repartidos a lo largo de la costa africana oriental, estaban estrechamente conectados con las rutas de comercio que atravesaban el océano Índico.

Estos contactos duraderos con el mundo permitieron que sus ciudades y cultura florecieran entre los siglos X y XV.

Era 4: masáis (agraria)

Entre los siglos XVI y XVII, los masáis se establecieron como uno de los principales grupos entre las sociedades pastoriles que dominaron el territorio entre los Grandes Lagos, el Gran Valle del Rift y las costas del océano Índico.

Este grupo dirigió su ganado por las extensas llanuras de las actuales Kenia y Tanzania.

Era 5: etíopes (militarista)

A partir del siglo XIX en adelante, Etiopía se benefició del reinado de grandes gobernantes que permitieron una gran expansión territorial.

El aumento de la capacidad militar del imperio allanó el camino para los grandes triunfos militares posteriores que garantizaron su independencia.

Era 6: nigerianos (agraria)

Nigeria tiene la particularidad de reunir en el mismo estado a una inmensa diversidad de pueblos y culturas.

Desde su independencia se ha convertido en el mayor productor de petróleo de África, pero también es uno de los mayores productores agrícolas, gracias a su diversidad y a sus fértiles tierras.

Era 1: caralinos (constructora)


Se desarrollaron en las tierras áridas de las costas del Pacífico sudamericano a principios del tercer milenio a. e. c.

Crearon una sociedad urbana compleja, donde comunidades complementarias de agricultores y pescadores contribuyeron en la producción de los excedentes alimentarios que aseguraron su prosperidad.

Era 2: nazca (esteta)


Aprovecharon las posibilidades agrícolas del entorno para crear una cultura perenne a principios del s. II e. c.

Expertos en cerámica y tejidos, dejaron muestras de su oficio y mitología en tumbas y en el suelo del desierto.

Era 3: taínos (agraria)


Pertenecían a los pueblos de lenguas arahuacas y dominaron las Antillas Mayores entre los s. VII y XIII.

Con gran capacidad de adaptación, aprovecharon la variedad de biomas para prosperar mediante la agricultura en tierras escasas en diversidad animal y vegetal.

Era 4: incas (expansionista)


Según su mitología, eran herederos de Manco Cápac, que fundó la ciudad de Cuzco.

A partir del s. XV, realizaron una serie de conquistas e integraron gran parte del mundo andino en el Tawantinsuyu, el “reino de las cuatro regiones”.

Era 5: argentinos (comerciante)


Después de independizarse en 1816, la patria de San Martín tuvo un papel decisivo en la desaparición de la autoridad española en América del Sur.

Tras décadas de construcción política y conflictos, Argentina se benefició de la integración en el mercado globalizado para convertirse en un exportador de productos agrícolas.

Era 6: cubanos (esteta)


La toma final de La Habana por los guerrilleros de Fidel Castro en enero de 1959 rubricó el fin de la dominación de Batista y de Estados Unidos en Cuba.

Entonces, la resistencia combativa que ofreció la isla a la superpotencia vecina les otorgó una gran aura internacional.

This game is inspired by the life of Andrew Carnegie, who was born in Scotland in 1835 and emigrated to the United States with his parents in 1848. Although Carnegie started his career as a telegraph operator, his role as a major player in the rise of the United States’ steel industry made him one of the richest men in the world and an icon of the American dream.

Carnegie was also a benefactor and philanthropist. Upon his death in 1919, more than $350 million of his wealth was bequeathed to various foundations, with another $30 million going to various charities. His endowments created nearly 2,500 free public libraries that bear his name to this day: the Carnegie libraries.

In Carnegie, players will recruit employees and expand their businesses by investing in real estate, producing goods, developing transport technology, and creating transport chains across the United States.

Perhaps they will even become illustrious benefactors who contribute to the country’s greatness through their deeds and generosity! The game takes place over 20 rounds, with players each having one turn per round. In each round the active player will choose one of four actions, which the other players will follow.

The success of a player’s Company is represented by their victory points (VP), and the player with the most VP at the end of the game will be declared the winner, known forevermore for their philanthropic works.

In this App version of the board game you will play vs. Andrew, the solo automata, with Four different level of difficulty. 

The App includes a short tutorial which explain the basic concepts of the game to help the player dive in immediately, and a full set of written rules.

Game Overview

The game takes place over 20 rounds. Each round consists of four parts, which take place in the following order:

1. Select Timeline

Using the Timeline marker, the first player selects the Timeline corresponding to the action they wish to perform.

2. Events

Placing the Timeline marker will trigger an event (income or donation) for all players.

3. Use Departments

All the players take turns using their Departments that correspond to the chosen action type.

4. Activate Employees & End of Round

Players may activate employees, and finally the action marker moves one space to the right on the Timeline.
