The German Fifth Panzer Army crossed into Belgium in December 1944. Their first objective was the Meuse river, 100 kilometres to the west. The timetable required clearing and maintaining the road network around Bastogne and Wiltz. On the sixth day the Second Panzer Division and Panzer Division Lehr were to be released to continue the advance to the Meuse.
The allies’s General Eisenhower immediatly ordered the one Hunderd and First Airborne Division, the Screaming Eagles, to collect all their men on leave in Paris. They were to load unto trucks and driven to the vital crossroads of Bastogne. He also ordered General Patton to turn his third Army due north to cut into the German thrust.
Bastogne became the focus for the success of the German’s attempt.
Bastogne Breakout is a Hex, Counter and Card game of the crucial 9 days, Dec 16th till 25th, when the battle raged. Units are regiments and battalions. Each hex is a mile or 1.6 Km across. All the units are included.
Players can play both sides, called Hot Seat or play the Germans against the Allied AI. Players can also choose difficulty levels. Cards are chosen at the start to Blow bridges, have Otto Skorzeny cut demolition wires, cause Fritz Bayelien to fall in love and pray for good weather among other things.

There are 3 Scenarios:
1. Bastogne Breakout – An introductory scenario to introduce concepts of the game. In this release
2. 2nd Panzer Goes West – The Second Panzer Divsion must be exitted of the Western edge of the board under a strict timetable.
3. Bastogne Breakout – Both the Second Panzer and Panzer Lehr must exit.

In VCB you will set your own goals of what and how you want to build, it does not come with tutorials, levels, or challenges, and it will not teach you digital logic or assembly. Build circuits by drawing color-coded entities like logic gates and traces, and use the specialized tools such as the Array to optimize your workflow by drawing multiple traces simultaneously. Both the electronic components and the traces support multiple input and output connections.

Decoration

Customize the appearance of circuits by drawing in the decoration layers that override the component’s default colors. This allows you to create things such as buttons and labels that change appearance depending on the component’s state.

A virtual reality experience that highlights potential bodies to merge, change skin, slowly morphing into a hybrid being that connects with plant, animal and technological species. Somewhere in the environment is a reflective surface, giving a glimpse of this new body that is incarnated for an unfixed duration. Le corps-glitch (multitudes) is a VR experience developed during a creative residency at the Sporobole artist center in Sherbrooke, in 2022.


Marie-Ève Levasseur is an interdisciplinary artist currently based in Tiohtià:ke/Montréal. Their work is expressed through a variety of media, including video, installation, sculpture, digital printing, 3D animation and virtual and augmented reality. They are interested in the notions of process, hybridization, metamorphosis and the potential for collaboration with the non-human. Their research draws on feminist posthumanism and attempts to define the place of the material and emotional body in our screen-based communications. Their projects are intended to be propositional, drawing on feminist science fiction and often appealing to speculative fabulation by evoking contexts in which fictional devices are deployed.


Levasseur holds an MA and a Meisterschüler from the Academy of Visual Arts in Leipzig, Germany, and has participated in various residency programs, including Schloss Solitude (2020) in Germany, and at Sporobole and La Chambre Blanche (2022) in Canada. Her installations have been exhibited internationally, including in Berlin, Paris, Zurich, Hong Kong and London.
