Rogue Station Defense is a rogue-like tower defense game set in a sci-fi universe. You play as a commander tasked with clearing out infested planets and starbases from invading alien forces. In this game you can make new objects by combining other objects. There are instructions that say what objects can be merged together to create another one. You can often interact with these instructions to create new rules and change the old ones.

Your goal in every level is to collect any star on the game field. This is not always easy to do.

There are 14 different types of objects with unique properties and behaviour. Every object is colored in one of 8 colors.

If two objects have different colors they are not the same objects for instructions. For example if there is an instruction that says “two blue boxes create green wall” you can’t apply it to white boxes to create a wall.

• Paint that can change colors of other objects

• Puzzle pieces that stick together when touch

• Generators of other objects

• Objects that move until they hit a wall when you push them

You can undo any wrong move.

There is no timer or moves count. So you can enjoy all 78 levels in you own pace!

Broad Daylight is a game created by Vagus Truman that subverts common horror tropes found in games, where the horror lies in a lack of identity and agency, and the setting is in a brightly lit area. The player adopts the role of a character that just happens to be the victim of a random killing on their way to whatever the day may take them. Each ending, each insight into their character and being, is up for the player to learn and pick up on as their avatar navigates the world.

Play Time

The game should take about 10 to 45 minutes to finish. 

Options

The basic setup of volume and graphics settings are dictated by the engine’s base settings, from Low to Ultra graphics, and a slider to control master audio.

Gameplay

It is a basic walking simulator, with a dialogue system in place to have the player assume the mentality of the player’s avatar as they navigate the small world.

Overview of the game

“Backward Poiesis” is a short horror game produced by a japanese student that recreates footage actually found.

Mr. A (pseudonym) moved to a new house and found an old video camera in his new home.

When he turned on the camera out of curiosity, he found that it recorded inexplicable and bizarre images.

This game is a walking simulator with a horror taste in which you relive the footage recreated based on the interviews, as if you were the photographer.

I was contacted by a person who said he had found a video camera by chance, and the production was based on a proposal to recreate the footage recorded on the video camera as a game.

The game uses audio from actual interviews and footage recreated based on interviews, depicting the horror based on actual events.

Based on the interview with Mr. A, we used UnrealEngine 5, a 3DCG engine also used in film production, to reproduce the quality of the video camera footage down to the texture.

  

The game allows the viewer to relive the mysterious images left on the video camera from the perspective of the filmmaker.

The video is completely unclear as to what it was filmed for and can be seen to be related to the online movements Liminal Space and Backrooms.
  

The creator myself cannot claim to have completely understood the content of Mr. A’s story, so I hope that you will consider the truth based on the reproduced video and Mr. A’s words.
