Broadsword: WARLORD EDITION boasts turn-based strategy gameplay as players move from mission to mission in the Middle Ages. Command one of five different armies: the English, The French, the Spanish, the Poles or the Hapsburgs. Lead different types of units into battle — from archers, winged hussars, knights, longbowmen, pikemen, and catapults with special units per nationality. Control special hero units such as Henry III, Joan of Arc, Wladylaw I of Poland, and Peter of Castile, among others whose special ‘hero’ powers can affect the entire battlefield.

Broadsword allows players to construct buildings to raise units and create resources for their empires, as well as research technologies.

A Hard Core, Turn Based, Hex & Chit Wargame. 2D like a boardgame.

A.I. ,A detailed Editor, and Hotseat options, you can set A.I. advantages etc… . You can add Rail Networks to any game. Live database to find targets. Battle Report shows the game info and you can reset game objectives to fight for, it also shows last turn info.

A complex Combat system, allowing you to select who fights in the battle, you can also choose type of attack EG you can do an infantry only attack if your ahead in men, or a missile only attack if attacking with ART or AIR units . the game uses movement costs so travelling by rail is quicker. there is a random map generator and 3 main maps. the games can be randomly setup or play a scenario, adding rail networks will change a game scenario.

Naval Grid Based , turn based Hard core Wargame.

You drag Map around and use RADAR/SONAR Database to identify good targets, But Watch out for Air bases or enemy carriers , as their air units will defend there units. Try to sink the enemy transport ships as they supply bases, in turn the bases will supply ships. Ships repair and refuel at bases. You ca launch strategic bombers from bases and Para drops to disrupt enemy supply.

The A.I. can control every ship your and enemy, and the game is not for micro managing your fleet you can let the A.I. run things, take control of ships that look like good options. You can also set Convoys or Speed of Ships. you can set Combat Air Patrol Area, the air units will be more effective with smaller area to cover. Ports and bases have sizes and max sizes you can bomb them to stop them getting to fill strength.

Repetition is an essential aid when it comes to learning new skills.
It allows the conscious thinking to transfer to the subconscious, freeing up time for new and more complex reasoning.
It is difficult to have things go wrong when you always play the best moves as analysed by a strong chess engine.

Openings

Learn from more than 3.000+ standard opening lines and discover their best continuations with the assistance of a chess engine.
Decide how you and your virtual opponent are going to play while you are still in the opening repertoire, or when you are in the continuation line.
Receive hints when you make a mistake, so you can learn from it.
Each time a new line starts, the application will randomly choose a new variation, but you can also request to replay the last line again if you want.

Tactics

Exercise your tactics by solving puzzles. learning them pattern by pattern, level per level.
The puzzles are extracted from a database of 3.000.000+ puzzles, and split into 38 categories and 11 difficulty levels.

Spread Out: Hold Naar’Havok offers an original, multiplayer synthesis between wargames, chess and the game of go. Choose your army: the Elves or the Orcs. Win the battle by controlling 5 of the 9 territories, or by surrounding the enemy king. Earn reinforcement points by holding territories. Command four types of units, with specific abilities: knights/boar-riders, magicians/sorcerers, griffins/dragons, the Elf-king/ the Ork-king.
