What is DOT & DOT DUNGEONS?

DOT & DOT DUNGEONS is an RPG in which players challenge themselves in dungeons whose structure changes each time they dive. The equipment you obtain will be randomly selected, and sometimes it can be of immense capacity. What awaits the player at the end of his or her dungeon wanderings in search of the ideal equipment?

Nostalgic Graphics and Sound

The dungeons that await the player and the monsters that inhabit them are depicted using 8-bit-style dots, and the sounds that color the adventure are created using tones and tunes that are reminiscent of retro video game consoles. Enjoy the nostalgic feeling of “this is the kind of game that might have existed in the past.

A variety of unique professions and skills

Players become “adventurers” who can handle anything with ease, and form a party with up to four members, including a “knight” who excels at physical attacks, a “monk” who heals, and a “mage” who is an expert in offensive spells. As you gain experience and grow through battle, you will learn the skills associated with each profession. As the adventure progresses, you may meet new friends…?

Dungeons and gimmicks with as many stories as there are players.

There is no story line in this game. The story line does not exist in this game, because each experience in the dungeon is a story for each player. The structure of the dungeon changes each time you enter it, and there are “spike traps” that reduce your HP and “teleporters” that send you somewhere on the floor. On the other hand, there are also “stone monuments” that randomly grant good effects to the party, “healers” that heal for a fee, and “treasure chests,” the most coveted items, that help the adventurer. And when you defeat the boss waiting for you at the far end of the dungeon… you will be shown a new path to adventure.

In this immersive and tactical Medieval SRPG, play as a Child born as a Reaper as they are being hunted by the Empire. Every choice impacts the story, and who you are, and how others view you. 12 different unique job classes to choose from with many different outcomes. Find your destiny.

•  Warrior: Known to never flee a battle with strong combat abilities in close quarters.

•  Barbarian: Ruthless and feared among all men. Can easily intimidate and recruit allies from fear alone.

•  Galloglass: A greedy mercenary known to get paid a little extra to do anything asked.

•  Village Elder: Being the leader of a Village takes a lot of work to make everyone satisfied, but is known to have great commanding power.

•  Priest: A holy man who serves the Gods. Choose what God you devote yourself to and heal on the battlefield.

•  Thief: A criminal despised by many, and cannot buy from normal stores. But they can steal and sell from underground markets.

•  Beggar: Hated by most, seen as cowards. I can barely get enough to eat bread.

•  Apostate: A faithless man, shunned by most villages and society. 

•  Pecthach: A sinner branded with a disfigured body, has unnatural gifts.

•  Taoiseach: A man who has gone up the ranks of the Goblin army to become one.

•  Merchant: A man who knows how to buy and sell from anybody, can easily bribe their way out of bad situations. 

•  Noble: A man of the Empire, strength are rather with their lips than their blade.

Each path has some unique content to them. Talk your way out of encounters, fight to the death, or bribe your way to victory. Become a faithless thief, a holy mercenary, a coward merchant, or a charismatic priest. The choice is yours. What will your destiny behold?

About Us

Hello everyone, I’m Plutinos, a developer from ReturnCircleGames and the producer of Unwhole Hill·LAKE.

Over the past two years, we released some early concept previews of Unwhole Hill on Bilibili, mainly showcasing the game’s art scenes.

In its initial design, Unwhole Hill was conceived as a first-person narrative game, blending action elements with survival gameplay and puzzle-solving mechanics.

At the time, we aimed for Unwhole Hill to provide a highly realistic first-person visual experience, which is why we chose Unreal Engine for development. We also sought to create environments that closely resemble real life, spending considerable time crafting many art assets independently rather than piecing together pre-made ones from asset libraries.

However, as the producer, I made many mistakes during this process.

First, I severely underestimated the complexity of developing the game’s content. As development progressed, the trials, errors, and continuous learning caused time to slip away much faster than anticipated.

Additionally, I mistakenly led the studio into a scam, resulting in the waste of a substantial amount of time and resources. Worse still, we lost the fruits of our hard work. These failures severely damaged the trust among the studio members.

Ultimately, we had to face the reality of disbanding, and the team members each sought new directions for their careers.

By mid-year, I managed to settle the remaining debts. Afterward, I reached out to an old colleague from the studio. Over the past few months, the two of us recovered and reorganized some of the original art assets, and in our spare time, we completed the early version of Unwhole Hill·LAKE. Unfortunately, due to the lack of sufficient time, the game will not include English localization at launch, and for that, I sincerely apologize. We plan to release additional levels and English localization by Christmas.

After experiencing these ups and downs, I’ve come to deeply understand the importance of steady and deliberate progress in game development. Moving forward, we will be much more cautious, learning from past lessons and striving to deliver a more sincere and high-quality game to all of you.

In the northwest outskirts of Cangling City lies a lesser-known national nature reserve, Ping Lake. In 2011, a new campus of Cangling University was built on the shores of the lake.

In the game, you take on the role of an ordinary student living in the dormitories of the northern campus, temporarily assigned as the “Dormitory Inspector” for the day. Within the allotted time, you must gather clues from various pieces of information scattered throughout the rooms and inspect the dormitory thoroughly.

Analyze and Uncover

As the Dormitory Inspector, you need to follow the guidelines in the distributed “Management Regulations” and the clues left in the previous inspector’s “Head Resident’s Notes” to find a way to escape the dormitory. In addition to the regulations and notes, you may occasionally receive messages on your phone, which will help you gradually unravel the mysteries hidden within the dormitory.

Modern Dormitory Setting

The game is set in a modern campus dormitory, with a strong sense of realism. We have paid close attention to the details of campus life from a contemporary perspective, recreating the atmosphere of a unique school environment for players to fully explore.

Story-Driven Puzzle Experience

In addition to solving puzzles, players will gradually uncover the secrets hidden within the dormitory. Each level not only presents puzzle challenges but also reveals an underlying story that drives players forward in their quest to uncover the truth.

Freedom of Gameplay

Players have the freedom to either focus purely on solving puzzles or explore the entire dormitory, discovering hidden clues and details along the way.

In a world doomed to the tyrant of the great evil Dark Lord, the guild of Ezerath recruits you to eliminate the Dark Lord. To get to the Dark Lord you must first clear each of his 10 Grand Generals dungeons, obtaining loot and experience along the way. During your grind you can also stop to help the NPC’s of Ezerath by completing unique side quests for other fun rewards. The open world also has secrets, extra mini-bosses, events, and enemy loot drops for you to discover. Do you have what it takes to explore and save the land of Ezerath?

My Final Cursed Days is a fantasy, dungeon-crawling RPG made for the Game Boy! Play through your own story over the course of about 3-4 hours of play-time as you make your way through the period of your life left before the curse takes its nebulous effect. As your days go by, enjoy the following features in the game:

• Day and night life-sim-style time-management as you use your remaining days in the portal village getting to know the local characters, some of which only set themselves up after word has gotten around of your dungeoneering efforts!

• First-person dungeon-crawling with combat that’s done in a semi-active, turn-based style. This makes encounters more tactical in a way that might be especially rewarding for more puzzle-minded players, but still very manageable and open to many different setups~

• Character customization including your starting stats, physical attributes, and what spells, items, and other effects you bring with you into the dungeon. These things can and will change as you play, sometimes voluntarily, sometimes not. So don’t get too attached, maybe!

• Have a chat with any NPC in the village! Some might be just for fun, some might have useful information for you, but carry on the conversation well and you might be rewarded with equipment or items~

• Discover hidden objects and other strange things in the dungeon by entering Search Mode to scour certain areas in point-and-click style! You aren’t the first dungeoneer to be here, and some of the previous ones left things behind, for all kinds of reasons, let’s just say. You can make use of some of it, but some things might be best brought back to someone more knowledgeable.
